Georgia Brocato

Georgia Brocato, age 92, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012. She was born on June 24, 1920 in Fayetteville, Texas to Frank and Petrolina Kocurek. She grew up in Fayetteville and later moved to Houston where she met and married Johnnie Louis Brocato. They were together until his death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ludwig Kocurek and her sister Evelyn Carroll.

She is survived by daughter, Mamie Shuman; son, Johnny Brocato and wife Vicky; son, Frank Brocato; daughter Janie Harton and husband Stuart.

Surviving grandchildren are Debbi Hodges and husband Harold; Johnny P. Brocato and wife Brenda; Angela Brocato; Dillon Brocato; Holly Hankins; Ginger Carnline and husband Daron; Courtney Harton; and Kristin DeHay.

Surviving great-grandchildren are Justin Hodges; Lauren Hodges; Trevor Hodges; Johnny Lee Brocato; Jesse Pettis and wife Bella; Brittany Newman; David Hankins; Daron Carnline; and Cameron Carnline and great-great-grandchildren Emma Marsh; and Jesse Willliam Pettis; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and relatives.

She loved fishing, hunting, gardening and any other activities that allowed her to enjoy the great outdoors.

Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held following the Visitation at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
