My family and I were so sad to hear about the passing of Gerald.  You and your extended families have been and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.  Gerald was such a great person and a wonderful man.  I have so many wonderful memories of growing up attending Syzdek family gatherings and having Gerald there as the leader of the Syzdek cousins.  Gerald was always at the Syzdek family gatherings with a smile, firm handshake, and with Cowboy hat on.  I will miss him and he will be deeply missed by all.

It was a privilege to work with Gerald for over 30 years. He always did things the right way, was a great representative of the company he helped to start, and was a friend and mentor to many coworkers. I always enjoyed our visits, with subjects covering everything from oilfield automation to how to fix a fence. He will be missed by all that knew him. I am glad he was part of my life. 

Lifting you all up to our Lord Jesus, may you feel His presence and comfort. Praying also for His peace that surpasses understanding.

I introduced you to your beautiful wife 50 years ago. She was and is my very best friend. Y’all were so young when y’all married, no one thought it would last. I want to thank you for taking such good care of her plus being a good Father to your 3 boys.  No matter what happened, you always made sure she was ok. I love you for that. RIP-Susan will always keep your memory alive. 

Gerald was truly one of the most thoughtful and caring persons I’ve ever met. Every morning we had a friendly competition of who could get to work the earliest so we could get the coffee going. If I managed to actually beat him to the punch, he would stop by my desk and say ‘well aren’t you the early bird’. It was our way of saying good morning. I’m sure he’s in heaven, with a pot of coffee going, telling everyone Good Morning. He will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have him as a friend!

I did not know Gerald outside of work, at the office he was always in a good mood and smiling. Gerald was always willing to help and share his knowledge even if it was not his project. In the short amount of time I have known Gerald I have come to know him as a good man, he will be missed but it seems like he has left behind a great legacy. He will definately be missed at work and home. Enjoy heaven Gerald, we will all meet there soon.

Gerald was the most caring person I have known in my life.  He was a great friend and coworker and I feel honored to have known him.  He was friends with everyone with the best attitude any one could have about everything.  He will be solely missed but remembered forever.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Syzdek family. 

Gerald you were my friend first of all, you were my co-worker, my teacher of not just work but life events. I will miss our times of just talking about your grandkids and sons and Susan watching the football games on Sundays. I know you are with the Angels watching over this world with great love for your family and friends. I know during our work times I was stubborn sometimes but you had such respect for me, I will never forget the times we laughed and smiled together. 

I have so many good memories from our times from North Dakota to now. North Dakota I remember you would never come during the winter time, I asked one time why you would not come during the winter time and of course you simply said " I schedule it that way" plus you had me there to be in the cold. You were a great family man, I remember a phone call once at work. You called me and said "Red how long has it been since you been home?" " You have two choices either get on a plane or I am flying up and putting you on a plane." you need to spend time with the family also buddy... I laughed so much when you said that to me. But I just did as you said and went home to spend time. 

 I am in your debt for the things you have taught me in our days together. Know you are in my heart and I will miss you dearly MY FRIEND... Love Always till we see each other again.... 

 I did not personally know this man but I knew his sister Patricia  -   A woman of intelligence character and a great friend and I’m sure her brother had the same traits and they are probably rooted deep in this family

You were my rock, my role model and hero. Words cannot express what you meant and how much you were loved by your wife and your family. Whether it was a kind word or a stern one you always knew the right words to say. I will always cherish are memories, I will use the many great lessons you taught me in life to continue to be a better man. There were so many things I still wanted to learn from you, but as you would always tell me and my my brothers  i'll "figure it out ".  Even though you're gone I'll still lean on your advice and wisdom that you left me with as I continue my journey. Thank you dad for every you've done.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words about my Dad. He was a great man. He touched so many lives. He will truly be missed but not forgotten. 

Gerald was an amazing man who loved life.  Family was his lifeline in all that he accomplished in his short time on earth.  His love of God, the love for his family, and his love of the country, his home and land brought him so much pleasure and happiness.  Gerald rests in the company of angels now, watching over His pride and joy (family).  
Gone way too soon but forever in our hearts.

Grandpa was one of the most important people in my life also. I learned everything I know about being a family man through his and my fathers lessons. One time in the early 2000’s my family was living in the old bunk house, we had a deer lease I remember, but Grandpa took me out for a morning hunt!! I loved to go out with grandpa and my dad. They both are stern but very well educated in hunting. They both would say “be  patient and in time, son, it’ll pay off... “ Through time I realized life is about learning and patience to learn from your mistakes... Life is not long, physically, but it is absolutely beautiful. Now until eternity, Grandpa, I love you! We will hunt again and see one another in the sky... good bye... for now may we part in love! 

My cousin Gerald Syzdek....will miss him terribly!!! He was like an older brother besides being my 1st cousin. 😥😇❤

Gerald was a great man and a role model. He was stern but fair. He was like a second dad to me. He will be missed by so many good people. He was very intelligent and knew how to fix just about anything. I’d like to thank him for giving me my best friend, his first born child Shannon. My heart goes out to the whole Syzdek family. Heaven definitely gained another angel in Gerald.
