Gerald Frank Young Jr.

Gerald was predeceased by his father Gerald Young, Sr. and his beloved grandparents Dick (Sr.) and Geraldine Young; Grant and Mary Morrison; Aunt Vivian Wyman; Cousin David Stroud.

He is survived by his mother Debbie Young Ellison and very special, beloved step-father Brent Ellison; very special relatives Aunt Lois Young Avery and Uncle Dick and Aunt Dena Young; Aunt Shirley Young; beloved and supportive cousins Russell (Wendy) Avery; Linda (Seth) Hulett; Robert and Jessica Hulett; Diana and Deana Young; Savannah, Ryan, and Holly Avery. Additional wonderful cousins include Charlotte Gamble Smith; Norma Gamble Jacobson; Dorothy Gamble Husain; Donace Fuller McFadden; and Andrew Fuller.

Gerald was a native Houstonian and lived in the Oak Forest area. He worked at Cinemark Theaters for many years and was awarded an engraved wrist watch for his loyal service. Gerald, Grandmother Geraldine Young, and Aunt Vivian Wyman were members and attended Temple Oaks Baptist Church for a number of years. Gerald loved THE PRICE IS RIGHT, watched the show every day, and could tell you everything you would ever want to know about it. So, Gerald’s Mother Debbie and Aunt Lois also watched Price is Right every day to discuss the show with him later. Gerald quizzed his Aunt Lois about events on the shows during their weekly telephone calls to each other and laughed when she did not get the answer correct! Every year Gerald looked forward to his birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas and especially these occasions at his Cousin Russell’s home.
