Gerard Robert Funk

Gerard “Jerry” Robert Funk, 85 years old, of Houston, Texas, passed Monday, October 18, 2021. Gerard was born to Robert Gerard Funk and Ruby Lucille Tomasich Funk, February 28, 1936, in Houston, Texas.

Throughout his career Gerard's focus was in Mechanical & Electrical Design/Management. He most recently retired from Environmental Improvements, Inc. after a thirty-year career with the organization specializing in Sales, Drafting, Estimating, and overall Project Management. He was a ham radio operator, enjoyed restoring classic cars, building projects, and listening to music!

Left to cherish his memory are sister, Ann L. Gammon, children; Sherard A. Funk Pettit (Sherry), Gerard A. Funk (Tony), Gerard R. Funk Jr. (Luke), Benilda M. Funk (Marie); grandchildren, Trinity S. Wheaton (Trint), Sebastian A. Wheaton, Christian J. Wheaton, Mason P. Wheaton, Dylan R. Funk, Brandon R. Funk, Colton M. Funk, Gerard A. Funk II, Miranda A. Gonzales, Heath Pettit, Sara Pettit, and Micah Pettit; great-grandchildren, Asher A. Wheaton, Jaxon A. Funk, Mason Pettit, Bryan M. Kennedy, Brianna M. Kennedy, and Cameron J. Gonzalez.

Gerard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. Funk and Ruby L. Funk; brother, Richard E. Funk (Ricky) and his son, Eric M. Funk.

Serving as pallbearers; Micah Pettit, Trinity Wheaton, Sebastian Wheaton, Dylan Funk, Brandon Funk and Gerard A. Funk II.
