Gerarda De La Rosa, age 90, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Born in Houston, Texas, she was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Mike F. De La Rosa, Sr.; parents, Elias and Julia Franco. She is survived by children, Mike F. De La Rosa, Jr. and wife Esmeralda Leal and Linda De La Rosa Flores and husband Jose; grandchildren, Rebecca, Veronica, Maria Elena, Jose III, and Elias; great grandchildren, Dominique, Monique, Zelda, Blake, Bella and Zachary. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2015 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, Houston, Texas 77037. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
