Gilbert F. Chapa, 82, passed away on May 1, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was born October 5, 1933 in Houston, Texas to Antonio and Leonor Flores Chapa. He is survived by his lovely devoted wife of 61 years of marriage, Geneva V. Chapa; daughter, Therese (Terry) M. Gonzalez and husband Jesus; grandchildren, Jessica M. Gonzalez and husband Victor Gomez, Javier J. Gonzalez, Daphnye V. Gonzalez; great grandchildren, Jeslynn V. Gomez, Alexzander J. Gonzalez, Bianca N. Gonzalez and Meadow N. Lopez. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 5-8:30 pm with a 7 pm Rosary at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 7250 Harrisburg Blvd. Houston, TX 77011. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
