

Gladys Marie Glover was born in Houston, Texas on January 6, 1944, to Alex and Ila V. McDaniel. She attended school in the Houston Independent School District. Gladys graduated from Booker T. Washington High School located in Houston, Texas where she was a member of the band. While in the band she played the drums and also was a flag twirler. Gladys accepted Christ at an early age as her personal savior and was baptized at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the love her life, John Glover, Sr., a marriage for 48 years. She was a caring and devoted wife. Gladys was a wonderful person with a loving and beautiful spirit. Despite any adversity, she never complained about anything. She loved her family and friends very mush and would greet everyone with a hug and big wet kiss on the cheeks. She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Glover, Sr.; mother Ila V. McDaniel; father, Alex McDaniel; sisters, Bertha Fikes, Betty Lewis, Gloria Jean McDaniel; and granddaughter, Courtney McDaniel. Gladys leaves precious and loving memories to her daughter, Veronica; granddaughter, Jasmine; stepson, John Jr.; brothers, Joe Eddie (Hazel), Walter Raymond (Linda), Jackie, Kennedy (Loretta), Leon (Gwen); sisters, Deola (Charles), Arista (Robert), Freddie Lee, Jeanette, and Evelyn (Ricky), and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
