Glenda...it's hard for me to grasp that you are gone. I remember walking into your home and seeing you sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee.  I remember the many sleep overs with Lisa and you were always there taking care of us. Taking us places...Manchester Vacation Bible School, roller skating and even to a dance once, you stayed there with us. You were not just a mom your were a mother to so many of us in the neighborhood. We always knew we could stop on by and hang out. I will miss you Glenda and thank you for your many straight foward no nonsense talks and loving support you gave me. Our lives will not be the same without you but you are at your final home with no more pain and I know that we will see you again one day...

Glenda was such a lovely woman and will be greatly missed by many.  I always enjoyed visiting with her and was so touched by how warmly she accepted me into the family when Mark began dating Lisa.  Thank you for being such a terrific mother & grandmother.  Your character shines through each of your family members.  I'm so grateful for Lisa coming into Mark's life.  I will miss you, but am happy you are at rest now and free of all pain.

Sis,  I know you thought of John Paul as another son because of everything he did for you and helped you thru the good times and the bad.  After last night I now no why.  He is a very good young man and I am so glad he was there for you..

I feel blessed having been able to know Glenda these past twenty years she was a fine example of what a woman , mother, and wife should be... im grateful for all the memories and my heart goes out to her family and husband...i pray that god will help to ease their pain. Glenda will be greatly missed....just know that yall are not alone we are here for yall and our hearts and prayers go out to all of your family may Glenda rest in Peace. We love you guys.

Glenda was fun. I remember all the Thursdays the adults meet at church to play volleyball on the parking lot in our younger days. She was always there. She would be there for our Thursday morning Visitation Luncheons. Those were great times.

Clay just looked at the slideshow and says how much we look alike, he stated how pretty you were on your wedding day so I am proud to be mentioned in the same breath as you.

Gigi, I am very hurt to hear of your passing. Reading everyone's messages makes it seems so much more real since I'm not there. I loved seeing you every year on Thanksgiving, and I know next time I'm home for that there will definitely be that of your absence. I know you are up there with your brother now, and both of you are looking over everyone, especially the grand kids that miss you both so dearly. Say hi to papa for me, I really miss him. And I'm sorry I couldn't be home for your funeral, but the family is in my prayers. Love and miss you always!

You have been in my life for 64 years, I will miss our talks, laugh's and cries together. I know you are no longer in pain and you, daddy, mama and Edward are looking down at us saying what are those fools crying for, we are in heaven and planning our trip together for Nevada. I can never replace a sister that you were to me.

Mom, I am lighting a candle for you today to let you know you are in my heart.  I have mixed emotions about seeing you tonight...I want to take advantage of every minute left because after tomorrow, I will no longer be able to touch you or see your body. Mom, the house feels so empty without you here.  I look at the table and don't see you there drinking your coffee.  I look in your room and see an empty bed.  I look at the chair outside where you always sat and see no one there.  I feel so lonely without you.  I miss touching you, helping you fix your hair, and hearing your voice.  Daemon and Emma are looking for you.  Jessica is telling them to look up in the sky because you are now their shining star.  So now when we are outside and we ask Daemon, Where is Gigi?  Daemon points up at the Star and says Gigi.  Sammy cries everyday for you and says how much she misses you.  We all have a hole in our hearts now that you have left us. So sorry to hear of Glenda's passing..I spent many hours at the Alexander household. I too was raised in Manchester and she was my friend. We had many fun times and lots of laughs, I will never forget what a wonderful person she was..

Glenda was my best friend forever and I will miss her greatly. I know she was tired and can now rest in the Lord.

Even though I didn't know Glenda, I know she was a great woman because of the stories I have heard.  Lisa, Mark and family I am very sorry for your loss and lift you up in prayer for God's comfort to be upon you.

Glenda was a great friend. From the first day that I moved to Manchester, she made me feel welcome. Although I lost contact with her and the rest of the Alexander family years ago, she has been in my thoughts frequently and I still consider her as a younger sister. Glenda was a great woman and treated me like family from the moment I met her. You never had to pretend to be anything other than what you were to impress her. She was very straight forward and you never had to guess what she was thinking since she would let you know. This quality is very rare in people these days. There is a huge hole in many hearts without her here but I know she is off to a much better place. My heart breaks for Lisa, Sharon, Johnny and for Jess and Karen and their kids as well. You will be greatly missed, Glenda.

Gigi was a fun grandma.  I liked when she played dolls with me.  She was always the evil Granny and chased after me.  I also liked when she drew with me.  She didn't draw as good as me but she could draw pretty good for a 68 yr. old grandma.  I will miss my Grandma alot.  She was like my 2nd mom.  Rest in peace, Gigi.  Love Sammy.
