Gloria Kendall Tanksley, born August 24, 1926 in Houston, Texas, entered into rest November 18, 2011 at home. She was a Red Coat at Reagan High, worked for Shell Oil Company for 20 years, and worked in interior design. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband William Earl Tanksley; parents, William Ira Johnston and Verde Mae McClain. She is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn LaRochelle and Gloria Tanksley and her grandson, Eric LaRochelle. A graveside service will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive 77038 - (281) 447-8686, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 12:45 p.m. with Daniel Kelly from Lakewood Church to officiate. A celebration in honor of Gloria’s life will be held at 1203 West 31st St., Houston, TX 77018 following the service.
