Gordon L. Harrison, engineer and businessman, born June 9, 1923, in Warren, Arkansas, passed away on September 13, 2010, in Spring, Texas. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving as a navigator during World War II and flying 32 combat missions over Europe. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters and two Bronze Stars for his service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Gillingham Harrison. He is survived by a son, Dandridge L. Harrison, and wife Mary Ann, their daughter, Ann Gillingham Harrison, all of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Sarah Maschek, and husband Dave, of Houston, TX, their sons, Andrew Maschek and fiancé Gina Cuervo, of Austin, TX, Matt and Patrick Maschek, of Houston, TX. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2010, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2010, in the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, Houston, TX.
