GRACE GIRALDO, 80 years of age, peacefully passed away in her home with her family July 5, 2010 in Houston. Grace was born in Libano, Tolima, Colombia on August 22, 1929. After marrying, she established residency in the US in 1969. Happily retired as a nurse's aide from Methodist Hospital, Grace took much joy in traveling with the family. Preceded in death by her two sons Luis Fernando and Alvaro Sr., and her daughter Martha Lucia; she is survived by her husband in marriage of 62 years - Arturo Giraldo Sr., and children Arturo Jr., Hernan, Javier, Nelson, Jaime, Doris Adriana, Alfonso, Juan Carlos, and George; grandchildren Arturo III, Fernando Jr., Matthew Jr., Alvaro Jr., Suzie, Michelle, Richie, Miranda, Grace, Dominic, Dylan, Melissa, Alfonso Jr., Christine, April, and Nikki; great grandchildren Donovan, Brianna, and Caliegh; her sibling Natividad Ovalle. Viewing services to be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Friday July 9th from 1pm - 9pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm; followed by funeral services on Saturday July 10th at 11am. Following, an escorted funeral procession will take place to Forest Park East Cemetery on I-45 South at NASA Rd 1.
