Graciela Velazquez, 64, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She was born May 31, 1954 in Monterrey, Nuevo León México to Roberto and Rebeca Rodriguez. Her father preceded her in death. Grace as she was known to many is survived by her husband, Ezequiel Velazquez; her children, Melissa Velazquez, Christopher Velazquez, Cristina Perez and her husband Luis; her grandchildren, Alyssa Trevino, Mateo Perez and Mia Perez; her mother, Rebeca Rodriguez; her siblings, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Elsa Garcia, David Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez. While attending Stephen F. Austin High School, she worked as an intern at Maritime Association ILA Pension Department. When Grace graduated in 1973, she was offered a full-time position as a bilingual Retirement Pension Specialist. Grace worked attentively at ILA for 33 years and after retiring, later went on to work at the Law Office of Attorney Daniel Snooks for 10 years. She was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where her Celebration Mass will be held. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 5-9 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 7539 Ave K, Houston, Texas 77012. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

Melissa,Chris, Christina you were blessed to have your mom as long as you did, CHERISH THE MEMORIES you have, you all were her life, I really enjoyed working with her the time we worked together for many years.
