Guadalupe Cantu Elizaldi passed away on July 7, 2018 in Houston, Tx. He was born on April 16,1935 in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his father Guadalupe Cantu and mother Carlota Elizaldi and brother Rodolfo Cantu.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Melva Cantu; children Louis Mario Cantu and wife Rosa Maria, Melva Alice Garza and husband Arturo, and Elsa Patricia Ruiz and husband Frank; grandchildren Louis Mario Cantu Jr., Angela, Arturo Jr. and Angel Garza, and Alina Ruiz; great grandchildren Halli and Benson Cantu; sister Hilda Tobias and brothers Roberto, Horacio, and Alfredo Cantu.
A visitation for Guadalupe Cantu will be held Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Texas 77023. A rosary will follow from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, July 16, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St.Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, TX 77018. An interment will follow at 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
