Guadalupe Villarreal Espinoza, age 75, a native of Houston, Texas was called home by her heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. She was born to parents Cecilio Barbosa Villarreal & Guadalupe Lozano Villarreal on March 15, 1948. Marrying the love of her life, Julian Espinoza, on February 19, 1963, she had 3 sons which blessed her with 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her mother & father; sisters: Josephine Villarreal, Lidia Flores, and Teresa Castillo; and son, Kristian Espinoza.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Julian Espinoza; her beloved sons: Luis Espinoza & wife, Becky and Andrew Espinoza & wife, Sabrina; her cherished grandchildren: Angel James & husband, Nick, Joshua Espinoza, Laila Espinoza, Gabriel Espinoza, and Emmalie Pineda & husband, Kevin; her adored great-grandchildren: Christian James and Reagan James; her treasured sisters: Barbra Salas & husband, Joe, Dolores Trevino & husband, Johnny, and Mary Herrada & husband, Santiago (Jimbo); and by her dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Guadalupe, mostly known by Lupe to her friends and family, had such a giving heart. She would help people in need rather they were family or not. She supported many charitable organizations, especially those for children. It seemed her talents were endless. She was great at cooking, baking, cake decorating, floral arrangements, puzzles, games, and even coloring. She spent lots of time reading and studying her bible. She even had a great collection of stamps and coins but was especially proud of her miniatures collection. Lupe wasn’t just great indoors. She was great outdoors too! She could drop a line in the water and pull out a fish or a crab with the best of them. She could pretty much grow any type of plant she wanted. She even had great taste in music, loving a big variety of genres.
Lupe will be loved and truly missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service for Guadalupe will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas 77008.
