Guadalupe Sosa

Guadalupe Rangel Sosa, age 87, of Houston, Texas passed into eternal rest on Saturday, July 5, 2024. Guadalupe was born on May 28, 1937 in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Amado Rangel and Maria Cortes. Guadalupe was married to Teodoro Rivas Sosa in Cameron County, Texas on May 1, 1955. They moved to Houston, Texas in 1958 where they raised 10 children; Zulema, Sandra, Salvador, Silvestre, Sofia, Susana, Santiago, Teodoro Jr, Lupe and Amado. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished all of her children, 28 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.

When she was not spending time with her family, she loved tending to her plants and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Each meal was prepared with love and care which was evident in every delicious bite.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents Amado Rangel and Maria Cortes; husband, Teodoro Rivas Sosa; children, Zulema Cruz, Salvador, Silvestre, Teodoro Jr Sosa; sibling, Ernestina Rangel Montanez. Left to cherish her memory are children; Sandra Tamez, Sofia Rodriguez, Susana Vela, Santiago Sosa, Lupe Sosa, Amado Sosa and 28 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren Siblings; Gloria Rangel, Rogelio Rangel.

Serving as Pallbearers are; Juan Martinez, Beto Rodriguez, Steven Santos, Ryan Sosa, Armando Sosa, Gabriel Sosa, Chris Sosa, Tyler Sosa.

A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral services will occur Thursday, July 18th 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023. A burial will occur immediately following funeral services .
