

Hardie Marshall Jr. passed away at home in Killeen, Texas on June 9, 2022. He was born in Wisner, Louisiana to Hardie and Mary Marshall. He grew up with his three brothers; Eddie (Coot) Marshall, Wilmon Marshall and Norman Marshall, seven sisters; Edith (Bee) Marshall, Eunice Pouncy, Bernice Marshall, Maple Marshall, Edna Shepherd, Lula Woods and Maxine McGrew.
In his twenties he met Bennie Mae Porter and they fell in love in Houston, Texas. They married August 25, 1958 and within one year they had started a family, complete with five sons and one daughter (Harvey Marshall, Charles Marshall, Roderick Marshall, Rodney Marshall, Patricia Marshall and Richard Marshall). As a family they loved attending church and going to the movies. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Hardie and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. He took excellent care of his family by working at several different jobs at the same time. He worked as an Equipment Operator for the City of Houston’s Department of Public Works and Engineering and a Housekeeper for St. Joseph Medical Center for over twenty years. In addition, he moonlighted as a Photographer at local Night Clubs.
Hardie was preceded in passing by both parents, his wife, Bennie Mae Marshall, his daughter, Patricia Ann Marshall, his brothers, Eddie (Coot) Marshall, Wilmon Marshall and Norman Marshall, his sisters, Bernice Marshall, Maple Marshall, Lula Woods and Maxine McGrew.
He leaves to cherish his memories ---- his sons, Harvey Marshall (Moni) of Germany, Charles Marshall of Houston, Texas, Roderick Marshall (Marilou) of Killeen, Texas, Rodney Marshall of Houston, Texas and Richard Marshall of Houston, Texas. Three sisters: Edith (Bee) Marshall of Houston, Texas, Eunice Pouncy of Houston, Texas and Edna Shepherd of Houston, Texas.
Hardie’s life was truly blessed with eight loving grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
