Harold D. Mooney Sr.

Harold met and married the love of his life, Mildred Ann Montgomery, on November 8, 1952. They recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Harold’s knack for fixing things led to a successful career in the Air Conditioning business, retiring from Local Union 211 after 53 years of service. He was a devoted member of Advent Lutheran Church, where Harold, Mildred, and their 3 children formed many life-long friendships. Harold’s passions included nature, astronomy, inventing unusual motorized objects, teaching his grandchildren nursery rhymes with a twist, and his beloved dog Buster.

Harold is survived by his wife, Mildred, son David Mooney and wife Cindy, daughter Janice and husband Roger Toler, son Michael Mooney and wife Patty, and brother James Mooney. Grandchildren include Heather, Cody, Kelley, Bryce, Jeff, Travis, Michael, and Sam.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Waltrip Funeral Home, 1415 Campbell Rd, Houston, TX 77055. After a private burial, a celebration of Harold’s life will take place on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Advent Lutheran Church beginning at 11:30 am.
