

Harry Knox Montgomery Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 4, 2025 at the age of 96. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Houston. Knox worked as a chemist for a major oil company for 40 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Vivian and felt blessed to have visited all seven continents. He was a Methodist all his life and was currently a member of Christ United Methodist Church Sugar Land.
Knox is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary, his brothers William and Frank, his first wife Catherine, his daughter Nancy and his great grandson Liam. He is survived by his loving wife Vivian, son Phillip (Jackie) Montgomery, daughter Judy (Daniel) Mitchell; grandchildren: Michelle (Zackery) Mikeska, Stephanie (Gabriel) Bravo, Mandy (Ryan) Locker, David (Amy) Mitchell, Angela Mitchell, Bethany (Wade) Goldberg, Emily Mitchell; great grandchildren: Malachi, Wyatt, Wells, Jackson, Reagan, Madison, Kathryn, Hannah, Natalie, Vivian, William, Adrianna, Elijah, Evelyn. Also survived by his brothers Robert and David (Kay) Montgomery and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Thanksgiving will be held at Christ United Methodist Church 3300 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land, Texas at 10:00am on Saturday, January 11, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
