She was born to Leopoldo Sosa and Maria Concepcion Tristan Sosa on July 22,1920 in Brookshire,Texas. Graduated from Sam Houston High in 1938. She married Ezequiel “Ike” Pena Flores in 1942 after he enlisted in the Army for WWII. She spent her life with him in Houston, Texas where they raised their family. She is survived by her daughters Consuelo Ruiz, Diana Rodriguez & Francisco , Debbie Prilucik & Eddy and her niece Marie Conchita Lawson & family from California. She also leaves 7 grown Grandchildren, 13 Great-grandkids & 7 Great-great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Benjamin Sosa, Ann Velasquez, and Marcela Flores.
She will be buried next to her spouse “Chacho” as she lovingly called him, at the VA Houston National Cemetary in a private graveside service on Feb 16, 2021.
Family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the Gardens of Bellaire for the care & social support they provided & shared with her in her final years of living there. Also many thanks to the Bluebonnet Hospice Staff who provided care in the last months of her life.
