Helen was preceded in death by sister Grace Pieper of Flower Mound.
Helen is survived by sister Ruth Davis of Jonesboro, Arkansas; daughter, Arlene Williams and husband Steve of Houston; daughter, Kathleen Hernandez of El Paso; daughter, Paula Hollis of San Antonio. Five grand-children, Marco Hernandez, Melissa Hernandez Ramirez and husband Cesar, Carlos Hernandez and wife Jaime, Kindel Hollis, Tim Hollis and wife Kelsey. Four great-grand children London, Titan, Kapri Hernandez and Haddon Hollis.
Helen lived in the Oak Forest community and taught at Frank M. Black Jr. High for over 30 years until her retirement.
She then relocated to Dallas where she spent most of her retirement years with family and friends. At age 86 she returned to Houston. Helen was actively involved in church, enjoyed traveling and visiting many foreign countries, including her birthplace of China.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mission Projects of St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, where she was an active member for many years.
A graveside service for Helen will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
