Since our founding in 1936, we’ve believed that every farewell should be as unique as the life it honors. Whether you envision a simple cremation memorial with a champagne toast, a traditional religious service with a catered reception, or a creative celebration with live music, favorite foods and thoughtful mementos, we take care of every detail. Regardless of your preference, our goal is always to help you and your family honor a loved one in the way that feels right.

A modern funeral home with timeless style

Lobby at Pat H. Foley & CompanyPat H. Foley & Company serves Garden Oaks, Oak Forest, Shepherd Forest and the surrounding communities. With midcentury architecture, contemporary furnishings and serene garden views, this is the perfect setting for family and friends to gather, reflect and remember.

Our historic Chapel of the Garden was designed around a lush open courtyard, complete with waterfalls and a gently flowing stream. In spring, pink and lavender azaleas bloom; in winter, clusters of red Pyracantha berries add vibrant color. Our light-filled chapel seats up to 250 guests, with a wall of windows overlooking the garden. Flexible state rooms open for larger gatherings or close for intimate moments.

We also offer convenient parking for up to 150 vehicles.

The celebration of life center

The celebration of life center is an adaptable space. Here, you can host everything from a casual catered lunch to a themed reception with flowers, decor and a multimedia tribute that tells your loved one’s story. The warm, welcoming environment allows you to share memories in a setting that feels less like a funeral and more like uplifting fellowship.

Pat H. Foley & Company history

Chapel at Pat H. Foley & CompanyPat H. Foley was an Irish Catholic entrepreneur with a vision: to establish a network of funeral homes serving Houston’s predominantly Catholic communities. Born in 1912, he attended St. Edward’s University in Austin before graduating from the University of Houston in 1936. That same year, he opened the first Pat H. Foley funeral home—a namesake location that continues to serve Houston families with care and dignity to this day.

Over the decades that followed, his vision expanded. Pat H. Foley & Company opened Chapel of the Chimes in 1946, Chapel of the Roses in 1960 and Chapel of the Garden in 1965. The original funeral home was later renamed Chapel of the Angels, preserving its legacy while welcoming new generations.

Today, as part of the Dignity Memorial® network, Pat H. Foley & Company offers the personal attention you expect from a locally operated funeral home, along with the value and resources of North America’s largest provider of funeral, cremation and cemetery services.

Families find comfort in our familiar presence and confidence in our ability to meet every need with professionalism, compassion and respect.
