Helen Yolanda Washington

February 1,1973 Helen Washington was born to the parents of Ernestine Washington and Charles Thompson, the youngest of 11 children. Helen accepted Christ at an early age attending Faith missionary Baptist Church. A strong believer in education she attended school in the Houston Independent School District, attending Nat Q Henderson Elementary. Fleming Middle School, graduating from Phillis Wheatley High School (class of "91"). Continuing her education at Houston Community College. Employed with Grocers Supply being well known and loved by coworkers for 18 years. Her love for skating was strong, many memories and love was shared by her extended skate family. Mikki loved deeply, Spoke with kindness and left the rest to God. She made her transition to her heavenly home Friday July 3, 2015. Being preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Helen Washington. Mother Ernestine Washington, Three aunts Evelyn Barly, Virginia Ann Prophet and Ann Carey. Two Uncles Joseph Washington and one niece Shavarear Golden. She leaves to cherish her memories a son Kendrick Washington a daughter Lauren Bushnell.Special Friend Craig Thomas. Three sisters Jaqueline Massingil, Peggy Lovett and Lawanda Washington.Six brothers Grady Washington, Cedric Washington, Lorenzo Washington, Ernest Thompson, Marcus Thompson and Roderick Thompson. She also leaves one aunt Rose Marie Woolridge, One uncle Milton Ray Washington and a host of other relatives and friends.
