Henry W. Tannenberger

Henry W. Tannenberger, born December 20, 1928 to Henry and Rosie Tannenberger in Westfield, Texas, passed away July 6, 2011 in Houston. Mr. Tannenberger is survived by his wife of 56 years, Renate (Ehlert) Tannenberger; sister, Dorothy Muzny; brother-in-law, Erich Ehlert and wife, Patsy; nephews, Eugene Kunkel and wife, Connie, Gary Kunkel and wife, Jennifer, David Ehlert and wife, Holly, and Michael Ehlert and wife, Teresa; nieces, Kathy King and husband, Aubrey, Trisha Ginn and husband, Jay, and Judy Roberts and husband, Lonniel; special family friend, Trisha Sneed, and numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, and other family and friends.

Henry was a lifetime member of the Sons of Hermann, and was leader of the Tannenberger Orchestra for over 60 years. He also loved his farm in La Grange, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Heights Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77092. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Houston, Texas.
