Herbert Le’Troy Davis was born June 21, 1985 to Herbert and Cheryl Davis in Houston, TX. As the second child born into this union, “Troy”, as he was known, was always a funny and charismatic child who loved to make everyone laugh. He grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Bellaire High School in 2003. He attended college at the University of Houston majoring in Business. Troy was an adventurous young man that traveled the world to many places including Australia, Singapore, Iraq, and Dubai. Growing up in a Christian home, Troy inherited a strong work ethic and a loving spirit whose generosity and care for others was clearly evident. His hard-working spirit led him to a career in transportation where he traveled overseas to Iraq faithfully supporting his country as a civilian truck driver on a military base. This career path eventually led to Troy to start his own trucking company, HLD Trucking. Troy’s beloved pastimes were his love of fishing and being a favorite uncle to his two nieces and two nephews. He was also a lover of animals, namely the pregnant cat who followed him home and he didn’t have the heart to send away. This same stray cat (momma cat), whom Troy had now given refuge in his apartment, soon gave birth to her litter with Troy by her side. One of the kittens, “Gizmo” eventually becoming his favorite. Troy leaves to cherish his memory: His parents Herbert and Cheryl Davis; his sister La’Travia Sneed (Darrel); nephews Darrel Jr. Sneed (DJ) and Dylan Sneed; nieces La’Tyra Sneed and Layla Sneed; Grandmothers Thelma Davis and Cordelia Tennarse; Grandfather Horace Tennarse; a favorite aunt Wanda Youngs; three uncles, seven first cousins, a special friend Miriam; and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
