My Aunt Linda was beautifully powerful. I use those two words together because this is how I always knew her. Yes, she was outwardly elegant and expressed a tiny but mighty persona. Yet, her inward beauty and strength far surpassed what we saw on the outside. She developed an undeniable life-light and a genuine love for others through a close relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Through her life journey we had the blessing of witnessing what it means to freely receive from the Lord and freely give out of your own life for others. This was truly her heavenly lifestyle on earth. In the words of Saint Francis we are reminded; it is giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal. Linda is now absent from her body but very present with the Lord. May her life-light, love and legacy live on in all of us. Gracias Tia Linda, por tu vida, tu amor, y tu legado.

I met MrsMendoza at the VA Hosp when Yolanda worked with our program. She was so charming, accepting and made me feel so comfortable. After that I was invited to dances, church and many other activities. In each setting her amazing personality arouse. Her spiritality was always present. She showed everyone what a wife, mother and friend should be. Loving, kind, and unconditional. She will be missed by all.

I will alway remember Mrs. Mendoza as an elegant lady. Hair coiffed and dress pressed. I didn't know her when she was young and raising children - but having met many of her children I see the good parts of her in you.
