Herman T. Doege

Herman T. Doege , born August 4, 1924 passed away March 23, 2011 at the age of 86. Herman is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Imogene Doege, and brother, Raymond Doege. He is survived by his wife, Mary Esther Doege; his sons, Herman T. Doege, Jr. and Sheryln, and Donald Ray Doege, and Kay Hutchison; daughter, Donna Kay Hansel and husband Kenneth; and sister, Marion James. Herman is also survived by his five grandchildren, Genena, Marcy, Michael Ray, Jason and Jeremy, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends. Herman was awarded a Purple Heart for his service in WWII, was a life member of the VFW 8790, and The American Legion. He worked as a machinist at Cameron Iron Works for 32 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Doege, Jeremy Doege, Dayne Futral, Jimmy Tardy, Rayburn Doege, and James Morris.
