Hilda Theresa Broussard

Hilda James, the oldest of two children was born on January 28, 1927 in Acadia Parrish Louisiana to the late Mary and Willie James. She confessed Christ at an early age at St. Benedicts Catholic Church. Hilda James was united in Holy Matrimony to Dallas Broussard, Sr in 1947 in Duscon, Louisiana. To this union two children were born in Louisiana.  In 1956 seeking a better life for their family they moved to Houston, Texas.  While in Houston they continued to grow their family to a total of 12 loving and devoted children. Hilda was loved and cherished by all and departed on Friday, April, 13, 2018. Hilda leaves to mourn her passing one sister Hazel Fontenett of Escondido, California, 10 loving and devoted children: Brenda (Edward) Sanders, Daniel (Doris) Broussard, Raymond Broussard, Erma Benton, Charlene Hearne, Dallas Broussard, Jr, Willie Broussard, Orelia Broussard, Shelton Broussard and Ruben Broussard; 49 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; and 1 niece to cherish her legacy.  Hilda was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, and two loving sons Lionel Broussard and Rodney Broussard. She will be deeply missed and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched. Hilda known as MaMa by most, leaves a lasting legacy.
