Hubert Burkhalter Jr.

Hubert "Bubba" Burkhalter was born on November 26, 1937, in Bryan,Tx. The family moved to Houston and he resided here until his death on May 29,2021. He was the fourth of seven children. He worked for C A Russell Tubing for 12 years and retired from WKM as a machinist after 30 years.

He married the only woman he loved, Lena Imbrugulio, in 1956. They remained married until his death. He is survived by his sisters Janie Lawrence and brother-in-law ST, his sister Jo Ann Huckabay, sisters-in-law Concetta and husband Dr. GO Drake, Shirley Lewis, and Grace Failla. Children include Elizabeth Burkhalter Allison, Alan and his wife Jennifer, Chris and his wife Angie, and Brian and his wife Michele. Grandchildren are Brittany and husband Bryan, Beau Burkhalter, Luke Burkhalter and his wife Chelsea and child Wyatt, Jake Burkhalter and wife Becca. Hubert was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Clarice Burkhalter, his mother-in-law Bessie McNatt, his sisters Dolly, Linda, Ellen and brother Wayne.

Bubba's hobbies consisted of fishing, restoring antique vehicles, driving his tractor at his country estate in Porter, TX, gardening and being a "Jack of all Trades".

Lena describes her husband as cute, sweet, kind, protective and supportive. To his family he was known as being genuine and deeply loved.

Some important events of his life were his marriage and births of his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. A lasting memory was fishing with his wife and eating her home made banana pudding. Bubba's musical tastes ranged from Tina Turner's 50th anniversary show to the Temptations version of "Silent Night". His final wish was granted to see his grandson Jake marry Becca in Ft. Worth on March 27th of this year. He was baptized by his cousin, Pastor Larry Burkhalter and he professed his love of God nightly in his prayers.

Funeral arrangements are as follows at the Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home of Houston on Friday, June11, 2021;

Family visitation is from 12;30pm to 1:00pm at the chapel,

Guest visitation is from 1:pm to 2:30pm

A service is scheduled from 2:30pm to 3:30pm

Internment will follow at the grave sight.

The family will host a reception following at their home.
