

Ida Mary (Cedargreen) Kronenberger was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, March 18, 1931, to parents Ellis and Mary Ann (Fairman) Cedargreen. She passed away in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the age of 84.
Ida was the most loving and caring person. She was the glue that held our family together because "family," was most important to her. Mom loved music and played the piano and organ. She was very artistic & creative. She painted, sketched, sewed, worked with stained glass and loved gardening. Mom and Dad square danced for many years, she even designed and sewed their matching outfits. She loved traveling in their camping trailer. Professionally, she was well liked and respected by all who worked with her. She met Dad at Graham Oil Co. and for many years she worked at Capital Steel & Iron.
Ida is survived by a loving family that includes her husband of 61 years, Thomas A. Kronenberger; a daughter, Karen Rauschuber and husband Edward, their children: Sarah Rauschuber, Marc Rauschuber and wife Kristine; a son, Daniel Slayton and his daughter and son-in law, Virginia Lynn Wood and Jay Early Wood II, their children: Jessica Nicole Perago, Syndney Abigail Wood, Samantha Grace Wood and Sophia Elizabeth Wood; a son, Steven Slayton and his wife Denise; her sister, Billie Jean Mahaney as well as many other dear family members and friends. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Stanley Cedargreen and a sister, Estelle Strickland.
Family and friends gathered to remember and celebrate Mom's life from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston.
