Ines Cruz-Calixto

Mrs. Ines Cruz-Calixto passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by her beautiful daughter Clara Cruz and sisters Margarita Cruz and Mercedes Simon. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and many loving friends and neighbors which include her loving Godchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

Ines was born August 16, 1924 in Chinantla, Puebla Mexico. She later came to Houston in the late 70s where she resided. She worked as a housekeeper, babysitter and seamstress. Ines dedicated her life to her family and close friends.

She was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She was a dedicated member for many years in the Grupo Guadalupano. Ines will always be remembered for her integrity, loyalty, dedication, and service to the community

Services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Monday, April 17th beginning with the viewing at 5:00pm and rosary at 7:00pm. We will gather to celebrate her life on Tuesday, April 18th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church at 2:00pm. Followed by a service at Forest Park Lawndale at 3:30pm, and fellowship to follow at the Forest Park Lawndale Holland Hall.
