My tia, She  was the sweetest person  I've ever new with a big good heart, i miss her so much, and I miss visiting her she was always happy,  im going to miss that smile, god now has another  beautiful  angel  may she rest in peace!!!

My tia Irene was always so nice. My memories of her will be with me forever. As a little girl, many people might not know but she use to call me Pebbles from the Flintstones. I think it might of been because on my hair. Another great memory was one day for Christmas her and tio Manuel had given me my first barbie. That is something that will stay with me always. And of course her food, her tortillas and her sweets. She will be greatly missed. ❤️

irene was my 2nd mother. she was a blessing for me & my children & their children. I can't explain the loss I feel but I know she is in a much better place. my deepest condolences to all the family & know that we now have a mighty angel watching over us. till I see u again momma irene. I love you!!

I will always remember when my Momma (Connie Chelo Mendez)would take us to visit growing up and how she would always be so happy when her cousin Irene & Manuel would come visit or when Irene would call her. And then my parents past away and Irene call me and check up on me and we would talk about Momma & our families. I will miss her calls at the end of our talks I would always I love you and she would say it back. 
Thank you for always checking up on me & family. For your I love you’s. I will miss that the most. Manuel our condolences to you and my cousins You are in my thoughts and prayers. During this sad time. Love you all. Cousin Irene will be dearly missed. So very sorry for your loss. She has gained her wings.

My beautiful sister,  we talked everyday even if it was to compare our medication, talk about the weather or talk about our dreams. She was good at dream interpretation.  She also loved music,  her all time favorite was Sunny Ozuna. I called her one evening while at a church bazaar, I convinced her to come join me.  What a surprise when she saw Sunny was performing. 

She was the best grandmother. So loving and sweet. She made the best tortillas and tamales! I will cherish all the memories we have together and hold them close to my heart forever. I will miss her with all my heart ❤️

Irene was all about visiting and keeping in touch with family.


During one of the many visits , Santa Claus stopped by the Flores residence and gave Irene a big surprise.  Being that she loved cooking and was known for her home-made flour tortillas and her famous Tamales... 

She loved her Apron:  Tamalera since birth !!!  She cracked up laughing, but wore it every time she made them.
