Irma Ramirez

July 9, 1959April 10, 2019

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 1:10 pm, our beloved Irma exhaled her last breath and had her last heartbeat. A native of the Bronx, New York, Irma later moved to Houston. Irma graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1979. Irma loved to make people smile and laugh. Many would describe Irma as a big kid at heart. No matter what time of day it was or where she was at, her most common phrase was, “go to sleep”. Although Irma had very little, her heart was huge and she would give what little she had to help others.

Irma will be remembered by her mother Rafaela, siblings Iris, Ben, Donna and David, her 13 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews. Irma will be forever remembered by her family and dear friends.

A viewing and the Funeral Service in memory of Irma will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Forest Park Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. The viewing will begin at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The prayer service will begin at 1 p.m. and the interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the family plot.

Friends may call the Forest Park Funeral home at 713-928-5141.

Irma Ramirez

have a memory or condolence to add?

To the Ramirez Family,

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Irma. May God and the love of family give you peace and strength during this most difficult time. One of my fondest memories of Irma was the time when my Parents, Aunts and Uncles all went out for the evening and asked Irma to babysit a large group of us kids. Of course, Irma was happy to assist and let me just say, we made a pact “what happened that night, we kept between us all…so much fun”. Irma and all the cousins (too many to list) always made certain that we had the times of our lives. I will always be grateful for Irma’s love of family, sense of humor, shining smile, and kind words during the most difficult of times. Let us all be reminded of the importance of family and say a special prayer for our beloved Irma and the Ramirez family.
With much love, Janet & The Green and Martinez Families!

Irma, will always be remembered as a fun, caring, loving and playful cousin. She took care of me and my brother, Jr. I loved her laugh and smile. It was a pleasure to have her in my life. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Love Always,
