September 27, 1942 – October 27, 2026
With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Irma Reyna Rivera, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2026, at the age of 84. We find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Nazario Chapa Rivera.
Irma was born on September 27, 1942, in General Bravo, Nuevo León, Mexico, to Ramon Reyna and Lucia Martinez De Reyna.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Nazario Chapa Rivera; her parents, Ramon Reyna and Lucia Martinez De Reyna; and her sister, Conception “Concha” Rivera.
Irma leaves behind her four children, who will forever carry her love and memories in their hearts:
Nazario Rivera and his wife Yolanda, Oscar Rivera and his wife Hilda, Nora Cantu and her husband Edward, Roel Rivera and his wife Michelle
She is also survived by her beloved brother, Roel Reyna, and her sisters, Yolanda Martinez and Gloria Rodriguez.
Her love continues through the generations in her 10 cherished grandchildren: Jovan Rivera, Crystal Garcia, Erica Rivera, Juan Trevino, Bianca Rivera Ortiz, Oscar X Cantu, Roel A Rivera, Oscar Rivera Jr., Ilyna Rivera, and Nickolas Cantu.
She was also blessed with 9 precious great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy: Areyana Garcia, Sophia Rivera, Valentina Garcia, Meriyah Tillman, Demasio Garcia, Juan Treviño Jr., Alonzo Treviño, Sebastián Cantu, and Brayden Nash Ortiz.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
Irma was a woman of strength, dedication, and unconditional love. She took great pride in being a hardworking woman, a devoted wife, and a loving mother. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time outdoors tending to her garden, watering her plants, and caring for her beautiful rose bushes. Her roses were her pride and joy, and the love she poured into them will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Aside from her love for gardening, she enjoyed relaxing at home, watching her favorite novelas, and preparing meals for her family. It was often in these simple, everyday moments that some of the most beautiful memories were made.
Irma was also known for her strong work ethic and independence. For over 30 years, she proudly owned and operated her own private school bus, dedicating herself to a job that reflected her commitment, determination, and hardworking spirit.
Although our hearts are saddened by her passing, we are forever grateful for the 84 years of love, laughter, memories, and blessings she shared with us. Her absence will be deeply felt, especially in the moments when we wish we could hear her voice, see her smile, or spend just one more day by her side.
We will remember her in the little things: a beautiful rose in bloom, a familiar meal, a favorite novela, and the beautiful memories we carry in our hearts. While we must say goodbye for now, we take comfort in our faith and in the promise that this separation is not forever.
She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.
May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of our Lord, reunited with those who have gone before her. May perpetual light shine upon her, and may her soul rest in eternal peace.
Until we meet again.
