Isabel Sáenz, de 71 años, falleció pacíficamente el 30 de Mayo de 2020 debido a complicaciones de salud. Ella nació el 1 de Enero de 1949 en San Pedro, Coahuila, México, hija de Pedro González y Paula Nery. Se casó con su amigo y el amor de su vida Francisco Sáenz, el 13 de Diciembre de 1971 creando una vida que duraría para siempre, quien la precedió en la muerte en 2017. También fue seguida por sus abuelos maternos Leandro González y Rita Trejo; abuelos maternos Tiburcio Nery y Anita Ramirez; padre y madre Pedro González Trejo y Paula Nery Ramírez; suegra Adela Garza Moreno; hermanos Gregorio y Mauro González Nery; hijos Ricardo González Sáenz y Ricardo Sáenz González; y nieto Ethan A. Gonzalez.
A Isabel le encantaba tejer, jardinería, pájaros, mariposas y escuchar música clásica instrumental. Tenía mucho amor incondicional por sus seres queridos, especialmente por sus nietos que la llamaban "Ama". Todos sinceramente pueden decir que su comida no se compara con ninguna otra. Su receta como ella diría solo consistía de "Amor".
Durante algunos años, Isabel trabajó para la Universidad de Rice y luego continuó como madre y esposa dedicada a atender a su familia. Los recuerdos son infinitos y se aseguró de que cada momento fuera memorable diciéndonos que "el tiempo valía más que el oro". No bailaba mucho, pero ocasiones salia de la nada bailando mostrando su baile, haciendo reír a todos y alejarse como si nada hubiera pasado.
La mayoría de sus recuerdos más queridos eran cuando era niña. Ella habló muy bien de su madre y su padre, así como de sus abuelos. Un poema que recitaba de vez en cuando que recordaba: "Ya llego el diez de Mayo , te comienso a preparar una linda canastita para mi linda Mama. Tiene rosas y claveles, amapolas de a monton. Te lo ofresco mamacita con todo mi corazon ”, que era dedicada a su mama Paula Nery.
A Isabel le sobreviven su hijo y esposa Francisco y Alicia Sáenz; hija Martha Sáenz; hija y compañero Maribel Sáenz y Zachary Austin; nietos Jessica E. Paul, Jose M. Parada, Matthew A. Paul, Christopher L. Paul, Francisco Saenz III, Ashley M. Paul, Angel G. Saenz, Rolando Gonzalez Jr., Stacey I. Paul, Jisselle L. Paul, Tanya L. Gonzalez, Alina A. Saenz, Isabel E. Saenz, Ricardo Saenz Jr., Jannelle N. Saenz, Angel J. Jimenez; hermanas Carmen, Julieta y Rosa González Nery; hermano y esposa Alfredo González Nery y Nidia E. Sifuentes; hermano y esposa Raúl González Nery y Martha Torres; hermana y esposo Paula I. González Nery y Rubén Bustos.
A la familia le gustaría agradecer personalmente a la Sra. Martha V. Delgadillo por estar siempre al lado de Isabel en los tiempos buenos y difíciles, que incluso más que una amiga querida, eran como hermanas. Siempre estando al tanto de ella y nos sentimos honrados de que le haya dado a Isabel su atuendo de despedida para embarcarse en su nuevo viaje con sus seres queridos. Isabel Saenz, age 71, passed away peacefully May 30, 2020 due to health complications. She was born in January 1, 1949 in San Pedro, Coahuila, Mexico to Pedro Gonzalez and Paula Nery. She married her long time friend and love Francisco Saenz, in December 13, 1971 creating a life that would last forever, who preceded her in death in 2017. Also proceded by her faternal grandparents Leandro Gonzalez and Rita Trejo; maternal grandparents Tiburcio Nery and Anita Ramirez; father and mother Pedro Gonzalez Trejo and Paula Nery Ramirez; mother in law Adela Garza Moreno; brothers Gregorio and Mauro Gonzalez Nery; sons Ricardo Gonzalez Saenz and Ricardo Saenz Gonzalez; and grandson Ethan A. Gonzalez.
Isabel loved knitting, gardening, birds, butterflies and listening to instrumental classical music. She had lots of unconditional love for her loved ones specially her grandchildren who called her “Ama”. Everyone certainly can say that her cooking didn’t compare to any another. Her recipe as she would say only consisted of “Love”.
For some years Isabel worked for Rice University and then continued as a dedicated mother and wife attending to her family. The memories are endless and she made sure that every moment was memorable telling us that “time was worth more than gold”. She was not much of a dancer but randomly busted a move showing off her skills and making everyone laugh and walk away like nothing happened.
Most of her fondest memories where when she was a child. She spoke highly of her mother and father as well as her grandparents. A poem she would recited every so and then when she reminisced was “Mother’s day has arrived , I begin to prepare a nice basket for my beautiful mom. It has roses and carnations, poppies by the bunches. I offer it to you my dear mommy with all my heart”, which as dedicated to her mother Paula Nery.
Isabel is survived by her son and wife Francisco and Alicia Saenz; daughter Martha Saenz; daughter and companion Maribel Saenz and Zachary Austin; grandchildren Jessica E. Paul, Jose M. Parada, Matthew A. Paul, Christopher L. Paul, Francisco Saenz III, Ashley M. Paul, Angel G. Saenz, Rolando Gonzalez Jr., Stacey I. Paul, Jisselle L. Paul, Tanya L. Gonzalez, Alina A. Saenz, Isabel E. Saenz, Ricardo Saenz Jr., Jannelle N. Saenz, Angel J. Jimenez; sisters Carmen, Julieta and Rosa Gonzalez Nery; brother and wife Alfredo Gonzalez Nery and Nidia E. Sifuentes; brother and wife Raul Gonzalez Nery and Martha Torres; sister and husband Paula I. Gonzalez Nery and Ruben Bustos.
The family would like to personally thank Mrs. Martha V. Delgadillo for always being side by side with Isabel in good and tough times that even more than a dearest friend they were like sisters. Always checking on her and we are honored that she got Isabel her farewell outfit to embark in her new journey with her preceded loved ones.
