Iva May Knox went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2020. She was born April 4, 1923 in Houston, Texas to Charlie and Anna Mondrick. Iva was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Cadman Knox; brother Bill Mondrick. She is survived by her son, Van C. Knox and wife Lynn; daughter, Dena Heslep and husband Charlie; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Thigpen, Shannan Knox, Christie Maybin, Lance Vinson, and Charlsie Heslep; 3 great-grandchildren, Morgan Knox, Robert Maybin, and Melinda Maybin; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Rowan Mercer. She was loved and will be missed by her family and all that knew her. Iva was a 1941 graduate of Jefferson Davis High School. Thanks go out to the staff of Windsor Houston Nursing Home who took care of the last eight years of her life, and guarded her through this pandemic.

So very sorry for your loss. Iva was an amazing woman who brought joy to so many. I can picture her now with the rest of the friend group - Bob, Mary, Pinkie, Annie, Jimmy, Gladys and Ed. Finally all together again laughing and having a good time. 😊
