

Jack was a graduate of Amarillo College with an Associate of Science; The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering; the University of Houston with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. He attended graduate school at the University of Chicago.
Jack served stateside in the US Army. He worked over the globe in various capacities with engineering and consulting firms.
Jack has held membership in American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Texas Society of Professional Engineers, The State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, Phi Delta Theta, National Association of Master Appraisers, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Hey Lollies Square Dancers, and Fair Haven United Methodist Church.
Survivors are his spouse Nancy Temple Gusler; son David; son Carl and wife Susan; granddaughters Anne and Sarah.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 6, at Fair Haven United Methodist Church, 1330 N Gessner in Houston, 77055, (713) 468-3276.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests donations to the Fair Haven Food Pantry, or your favorite charity.
