Jackie Eugene Scott, born on September 11, 1934, in Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2019 at the age of 84. Jack was a proud member of the United States Navy and served his country during the Korean War. He is a purple heart recipient and showed bravery during combat. Jack served his community for over a decade as a Deputy Sherriff Reserve. He was also a successful businessman in the city of Houston for over 30 years.
Jack Scott is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Loys Scott, their daughters, Diane Beene and Sharon Lindsey, his grandchildren, Elizabeth Lenz, Patricia Romero, Rebekah Beene, Michael Lindsey, and Jackie Lindsey, his great grandchildren; Caleb, Emily, Alice, Bryce, Ava, Corbin, Aleksander, Wyatt, and Miles. He is preceded in death by his parents Flora Louise Scott and Henry Anthon Scott, his sister Jeanine Browne, and his brother Frederick Scott.
A viewing will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home at 13102 North Freeway Houston, Saturday, April 27, 2019, from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00A.M. Service will begin at 10:00A.m. Interment will be held at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery for family only immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Jack Scott’s honor.
