Mrs. Jacqueline Elaine (Smith) Brown

Jacqueline Elaine Brown, 61 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at her home. Jackie was born July 20, 1963, in Houston, TX to the late Harmon and Nonie Lee Smith. She was the youngest of 8 children.

Jackie got married to Kelvin Brown May 8, 1994. She and Kelvin got to spend 36 years together.

Jackie worked several jobs, but last worked as a caregiver for Nixon Adult Care Center.. She loved to cook, sit outside and listen to music. Also, she loved dogs, especially Bella. If you knew Jackie, then you knew Bella was her child. She treated Bella better than most! Just like the time she kicked Kelvin out of the bed because that was Bella’s spot. Jackie loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids. She was young at heart, fierce, and would tell it like it is. Everyone that knew Jackie knew she didn’t play but she was also loving, kind, and caring. She was loved by so many and will truly be missed.

Jackie gave her life to Christ and was a member of Apostolic Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her nephews Eric Wayne Smith and Jarvis Johnson. Jackie is survived by her husband, Kelvin Brown: her four sons, Vincent Smith, Deonta Brown, Darian Brown and Kamreon Brown: Thirteen grandchildren: Trinity Smith, Keiarra Smith, Vincent Smith Jr., Dezzaray Smith, Sophia Martinez, Za’Mariyah Brown, Daijah Smith, Karter Bean, Melanie Brown, Danielle Smith, Lyric Brown, Darian Brown Jr., and Domenik Smith: her seven siblings, Dorothy (Arthur) Parker, Frank (Connie) Smith, Herman (Justine) Smith, Aubrey Smith, David (Shirley) Smith, Laurence (Charlotte) Smith, and Berdia (Keith) Rawls.
