James David Arispe, or better known to many as Jimmy, was born in Texas 55 years ago and raised primarily in the Houston Metro area. Jimmy worked in many artistic endeavors and he received great pleasure and self pride during his 15 year career for the JC Penny Corporation working as a Stylist, Educator, and also as a Manger for many years. He also worked as a Platform Artist and he had many customers in the Houston area whom he loved and who loved him. Jimmy was active in the community for years helping with many events and fund raisers for various charities within the Houston area. Jimmy also had a beautiful voice and sang in church choirs for years. Jimmy had a unique sense of taste and style and will long be remembered fondly by many who knew him. He took great pride in helping those whom he came in contact with and he loved making Houston a much more beautiful place because of his wonderful gift and sense of how to make suggestions to improve people's look and to help take pride in themselves. Jimmy was a wonderful person and was a very generous man and he had a very loving and caring heart. He loved to laugh and we were all very fortunate to experience his great sense of humor right up to a few days before he passed on. He thought well of others and he enjoyed friendships of people who are quite diversified and from many walks of life. He celebrated life and enjoyed these friendships and his family members with a great sense of joy.
Jimmy is survived by his dearly beloved mother Ora, brother Craig who live in the Houston area, and aunts, uncles and cousins, plus numerous friends from all over the country. He is preceded in death by his father Gene and brother Robin. His service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Avenue, Houston Texas 77007 (713) 224-0684 at 2 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2010.
We raise a toast to our wonderful son, brother, friend, companion, and very dearly beloved one and we know that he has been reunited with all those family members and friends who have gone before him in the great Kingdom of God. We all love and miss you Jimmy very, very much!
