I remember Uncle Wai when he lived in Shaw, Mississippi and often came to visit us in Shelby.  He was always tall, strong in spirit and friendly.  I remember when he lived in Houston and offered to get me a dog that did not shed hair.  I remember when he was in his wheelchair but made the effort to attend Darla and Phatt's wedding so he could once again see my sister Margaret (lives in Miami) and me (from California).  He was still strong in spirit.  He will be missed.  I wish him him well on the next part of his journey.

It saddens me to hear of Uncle James' passing but it is comforting to hear that it was a peaceful transition. I know that he suffered for many years from asthma and I can empathize greatly since I also had severe childhood asthma and I know what it is like to struggle for every breath. Of my childhood memories of Uncle James and Aunt Anne two things always stand out. One was his German Shepherds and backyard kennel - and the second was Uncle James' generosity - his home was always open to us as were the babysitting efforts by his daughters Ruth Anne and Corinne (thanks!). In addition, he always seemed to have some small treat available from his store - a piece of candy or sometimes even a comic book!  
Thanks for all you did for us and for all the fond memories - rest in peace, Uncle James.

So sorry to hear of James' passing.  It truly is a blessing that he passed away peacefully an in no pain.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Take care and may God bless you all as you face the days ahead.
