James (Jim) Paul Clooney III passed away on 24 September 2026. Born on October 7, 1937, in Houston, Texas, Jim was a lifelong Houstonian. He grew up in the city, attending St. Thomas High School (‘55) before continuing his education at the University of Houston (‘59), where he proudly graduated. He loved being on the golf course throughout his life.
Jim is survived by his two sons, who he was immensely proud of, James Paul Clooney IV and Jeremy Clooney, and his spouse Susan VanDusen. He is laid to rest next to his father and mother at Forest Park Lawndale cemetery in Houston.
A Funeral Service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on October 16, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm, followed by a Committal Service at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on October 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm.
