Jim was one of my earliest childhood friends. We experienced everything from baseball cards and kick the can, to grade school through high school together. He was genuinely a true friend to all of the ”Brookwoods Boys” and will be fondly remembered. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

Jim Culmer and Tom Ellis were my suitmates at SHSU in my freshman year. I think it was Jim's third semester. We had a great time together eating pizza, playing spades, and listening to music.
He was quite a character and always with a smile and a laugh. My deepest condolences.

I grew up with "Jimmy" playing little league baseball together and running the neighborhood on our bicycles. He was a perfect fit for the Rice University "mob" band when he was recruited to play for them during football halftimes in high school. Good memories....good times .
