Jimmy was born on May 20th, 1948 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Soon after birth, his family settled in Houston. He attended Hogg Elementary, Queen of Peace Catholic School, and graduated from Reagan High School. Jimmy proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and ended his military career as Sargent. Shortly after returning home, he met and married Minnie Lopez, proposing only four days after meeting her. Together, they spent 48 years and have one daughter, Madlyn McLeod.
Throughout his years, Jimmy possessed a strong work ethic and found great pride in his work. He partnered in B&S Concrete Construction Inc., and later partnered with Alan Gardipee developing Trademark Construction, Inc. in 1989. After retiring from Trademark Construction, Jimmy pursued a life of harmony with his wife and enjoyed spending time with his daughter and four grandchildren.
At home, he could be found watching the Astros, admiring the boats on the water of Galveston Bay, or on the phone laughing with a friend. Jimmy never met a stranger and found great joy in helping others along the way. He treated everyone he knew as though he’d known them for years and loved joking around and making people laugh.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Simon Segari and brother, Sam Segari. He is survived by his wife, Minnie, their daughter Madlyn McLeod and her husband Michael, grandchildren Hailee Johnson, Haiden Johnson, Hannah Johnson, and Ori Hoffland, brother John Segari, nephew Shane Segari, and great-niece Shayna Gray.
