James T Tidmore, Jr, 95, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather went to his eternal home on Feb. 15, 2020. He was born on Nov 1, 1924 to James Thomas Tidmore and Zelma (Maxwell) Tidmore in Birmingham, AL. After they moved to Galveston, Tx, when he was a small child, he grew up there. At the age of 16, he left Ball High School to enlist in the Army to serve as a Ranger in WW II. Upon his return, he completed and recieved his HS Diploma. He met and married the love of his life, Nondus Mae Lowe. They moved to Cottage Grove in the Houston Heights and then into the Houston Heights in 1951. They attended Collins Methodist Church, then St Marks Methodist Church in the Houston Heights.
Survivors: Daughter, Mary Ann Ramos, 68, Houston, Grandsons, Tito V Ramos, Jr 39, Houston, Brandon C Ramos, 37 and his wife, Ashley Chernosky, Houston, and Great Granddaughter, Jamie Nacole Ramos, 11 Houston.
He was kind, loving, and compassionate man who was quick to lend a helping hand or to someone in need. Whether human or animal, he was there. He touched the hearts of anyone who had the pleasure of knowing or meeting him. He will be greatly missed by so many.
