Janet Carol Hanley

Janet Carol Hanley (82), of Pearland, Texas, died peacefully in her sleep on May 8, 2016. Born July 12, 1933 in Detroit , Michigan. She is predeceased by her parents, Frank A. and daisy B. Rosenkranz of Houston, Texas, a sister Ann Gilchrist of Grand Prairie, TX, and her late husband of 56 years, John Hanley III of Houston, TX.

Janet was a full time wife and mother devoted to caring for John and their four children. In later years she joined with her husband, John, in the ownership and operation of Wealth Designs, Inc. She was intrigued by all the world had to offer and enjoyed traveling throughout her life. She also loved gardening, sewing gifts, and playing bridge with her friends.

She is survived by her sons, John Steven Hanley, MD and his wife Julia, and Brett Alan Hanley, DC and his wife Fritz; daughters, Carol Hanley Garcia and husband Jonas Garcia, MD, and Karen Hanley Harrivel and her husband George Harrivel Jr.; eleven grandchildren, Bake Alan, Eric and John Michael Hanley, Magdalen, Jonas, and Benjamen Garcia, Derek Hanley, George III, Grace, Janet, and Kyle Harrivel and four great- grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Richard Rosenkranz and wife Heidi, and one sister Marilyn O'Bannon.

Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 10:00am at the Chapel of Angels at Forest Park Lawndale with interment immediately following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

Pallbearers: John S. Hanley, Brett Hanley, Blake Hanley, Jonas Garcia, Benjamen Garcia, and Kyle Harrivel.
