Janette was born to Sybil and William F. Dunlap, August 10, 1930, in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Galena Park High School in 1948.
Janette is survived by her children Caryn Samuell, John Samuell Sr and wife Heidi along with her grandchildren, Brian Vanderbeek and Aaron Vanderbeek, Tara Friez and husband Matt, John Samuell Jr and wife Ann, Zachary Samuell and wife Jennie, and her nine great grandchildren, Henry, Avaleigh, Landry, Harper, John III, Stella, Vivienne, Housley and Wilder. She also leaves to cherish her memory niece Nancy McClure Oleary, and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William F and Sibyl L Dunlap, Arch M Parker Jr, (spouse), and Arch M Parker III, (son), Nan Lou(sister) and Frank McClure, Talvern Murray(brother) and Timothy McClure(nephew).
Janette’s most important roles were mother and homemaker. She did both very well. She was very talented in the kitchen as there were never any leftovers from her meals or heavenly desserts. She was also a talented seamstress and made most of her children's clothes, as well as her own. She was known for her sweet smile and positive attitude and was adored by many friends. She also worked as Office Manager at Parker Sales and Service Air Conditioning in Sugar Land for many years prior to retiring.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on August 3, 2021 at Forest Park Lawndale funeral home, 6900 Lawndale St in Houston, Texas at the Chapel of the Angels. Visitation will be from 10-11am prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to your favorite charity.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Village of Garden Ridge Assisted living facility for the loving care provided for the last year of her life. We would also like to thank the staff and residents of the Pinnacle at Eden Hill as well as the caretakers from Senior Caring Services for the beautiful and amazing care.
