

anice Marie Provo Sanders was the second born child to the union of Earnest Nicholas Provo and Juanita Sefas Provo on November 12, 1955, in Houston, Texas. In which, both Parents preceded her in death.
She grew up in the Houston area where she attended Mother Mercy Catholic School, Pleasantville Elementary School and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1974. In 1972, Janice brought into this world her first born and only son, Kevin Dewayne Provo.
The Provo’s family ensured that Janice was nurtured and grounded in the Christian faith. Janice was christened at an early age and raised up in Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Haywood Wiggins. She was led to join Grace Christian Fellowship Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Harold Stanley, where she accepted Christ and served diligently on the usher board committee for many years. Later, God touch her heart to join The Fort Bend Church Family under the leadership of Pastor Byron C. Stevenson where she served as a dedicated and loyal member.
She was inspired by her late aunt Annie Mae Edwards to join the National Nabisco Company, where she was employed for 23 years working various assignments within the company including the packing department. Later, she joined the Alief Independent School District Nutritional Department where she was employed for many years until God called her home. Janice's co-workers and peers had a deep admiration for her and valued their relationship.
She was a family-oriented person, and her life was dedicated to God and family first. Janice truly enjoyed perfecting her cooking skills, planning birthdays, and holidays gatherings. Her laughter was infectious, and her smile was contagious, and upon entry she illuminated any space, and she knew no strangers. She enjoyed her church family, traveling, fashion shows, stage plays and musical concerts.
Janice Marie Provo Sanders entered rest for eternal life in heaven on December 30, 2022.
She leaves to cherish her memories and a rich legacy of her life to Son, Kevin Dewayne Provo (BJ), Michelle: Grandchildren; Kevin Dewayne II, Kenyona (Quincy), Fred, Shaylynn, Keisha: Grandchildren; Kelsey (JayJay), Keyshawn Dewayne, Keyarra, Kevon Dewayne, Keron Dewayne, Great-Grandchildren; Dominic, Treylyn, Isaiah, and Juniper; Siblings; Lonnie (Benita), Earnest Jr. (Leah), Paula, Alphonse (Heaven), Darrell (Audrey), Anita Michelle and Kathy. Theron, Jathera, Mahlayah, Mulan A host of nieces, nephews and relatives and close friends have shown their love.
