

Janie Mae Adams Wallace was born February 16, 1929 in Rosharon, Texas to the proud parents of Charlie Adams and Rosalee Nelson Adams. She was born a twin of five children. Janie received Christ at an early age and devoted herself to her church, serving in various auxiliaries. She served on the usher board, as a prayer warrior, and with the women's department.Janie received her education in the Houston Public School System and later attended Texas Southern University. On February 16, 1947, Janie married Douglas Howard Wallace. To this union, five children were born. Janie loved to cook and stitch quilts by hand. She was a natural caregiver and embodied Christian values.On November 28th, Janie was given her wings to glory. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Adams, mother, Rosalee Adams, brother, Simon Adams Sr., sister, Johnnie Mae Kelly, twin sister, Annie Aught, sister Rose Lee Murphy, husband, Douglas Wallace, eldest son, Robert Wayne Wallace, eldest daughter, Madelyn Allen, and granddaughter Amber Straight. To cherish her memory, Janie leaves daughter Sharon Parish (Albert), daughter, Caryon Patton, son, Kenneth Wallace, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
