Jaroslav "Jaro" R. Nevlud

Jaroslav (Jaro) Nevlud, 92, born April 21, 1926 in Mont (Hallettsville) Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on January 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Nevlud and three siblings, Justina, Lily and Laddie. Jaro leaves behind his loving wife of 71 years, Henrietta, a sister Marie Stryk and his eight children, Paul (Shirley), Mark (Donna), Connie (Tom), Jerry (Gail), Claire (Charles), Cynthia (Billy), Phillip (Kelli) and Tim (Laura); 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Honored to serve as his pallbearers are his five sons and three sons-in-law. On Sunday, January 6, a visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd., 77008. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 7 at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 6646 Addicks Satsuma Rd, 77084. Burial will follow immediately at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran’s Memorial Drive, Houston. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church or to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. The family would like to express their warm gratitude to Fannie Dobbins and Jasmine Flowers for their kindness and caring for our wonderful husband, dad and Papaw.
