He was born on November 7, 1938, Guadalajara, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco Lopez and Maria Del Refugio Santos de Lopez and his son Francisco Javier Lopez, as well as many other cherished family members.
He is survived by his loving wife: Hermelinda Moya Lopez and his loving children: Jorge Lopez and his wife, Elizabeth Lopez, and their children Amanda, Ashley and Lesley; Maria Garcia and her husband, Armando Garcia, and their children Adrian, Cristian and Alexis; Juanita Lopez and her children, Isaac, Freddy and Brianna; Maria Lopez Tobar and her husband James Tobar and her son Xavier; Marco Lopez and his wife Maria Lopez, and their children, Stephanie, Jazmin and Aliyah.
He also leaves behind his Brother Federico Lopez; Brother Francisco Lopez; Brother Agustin Lopez; Sister Luz Maria Lopez and Sister Maria Del Carmen Nino Lopez, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great grandkids and extended family members who love him dearly.
Javier was a cherished son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed soccer, baseball and his black and white western movies. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1920 Marion St, Houston, TX 77009, on March 5, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. A Committal Service will follow at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, US, on March 5, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
